Red Wine

Hema

2024

Hema is a nouveau wine, an explosion of red fruits. It’s primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a blend of Garnatxa and Carinyena.

This fresh, fruity wine has quickly become a fan favorite.

Appearance

Red and blue tones, violet edges and medium intensity.

Aroma

High aromatic intensity, with the presence of red fruits and hints of Mediterranean forest and cedar.

Palate

It starts off very fresh with a good performance given by a good concentration of soft tannins leading to a long finish. There is a predominance of fresh red fruits at the beginning. When the tannins appear, balsamic tastes predominate and towards the end there is a mix of red fruit tastes with chocolate and vanilla giving a long aftertaste.

Vineyard Information

Hema is primarily created from our single Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard which sits along the Siurana River. The river gives the vineyard its unique microclimate which mimics that of Bordeaux. The soil of the vineyard is a combination of silt and sediment from the Siurana during the Qaternary Period. The silt, mixed with the typical red clay of the area, sits atop the familiar llicorella slate, the cornerstone of the Priorat region.
