Vineyard Information

The vineyard, named La Porquera, sits just northwest of the village of El Masroig, in El Priorat, and belongs to DO Montsant. It sits atop the region's infamous slate stone, llicorella. The vines were planted between 1897 and 1901; some of the very first vines planted after phylloxera ravaged the region in the late 19th century. Today, these 125+ year old vines produce very low yields, but of fantastic quality.
